At Mount Vernon Towers our objective is to provide our residents with a facility that they can be proud of. It takes a lot to keep our facility clean and to ensure that it is in proper working condition and our team of housekeeping attendants and maintenance technicians are up to the task. We ask all of our residents to assist us by ensuring that everyone does their part to keep our facility looking good and to report anything that needs to be cleaned or that is not working as it should.
Our housekeeping attendants are responsible for the daily upkeep & cleanliness of the public space within the facility. They have a big job. Some of their responsibilities include:
- Floor care – vacuuming, shampooing, waxing, burnishing
- Window cleaning
- Stainless polishing
- Trash & Recycling
- Power washing
- Public Restrooms – clean & sanitize

Our maintenance department are experienced technicians who are tasked with the big responsibility of ensuring that the facilities mechanical, structural and operational needs are maintained. We have maintenance technicians and managers certified in areas of refrigeration, a/c, plumbing, electrical and more. Some of the maintenance departments responsibilities include:
- Replacing light bulbs
- Electrical repairs
- Plumbing repairs
- Painting and wall repair
- Elevator repairs
- Landscape & grounds upkeep
- Pool service & chemicals
- Recycling & waste program

Resident Maintenance Services
In addition to maintaining the public space of the facility, our maintenance department also provides paid for services within the resident’s condo. Charges for these services depend on the resident’s need and the time needed to perform the work.
For your convenience, housekeeping & maintenance work orders can be requested in a couple of different ways.
Please know that many services require scheduling ahead of time so someone will be in contact with you from the appropriate department to set a date & time with you. Housekeeping does offer regularly scheduled cleaning & laundry services.

- Call – Call extension #3106 and inform the desk agent what you need to have done. They will handle the rest.
