27 Dec Happy Holidays at MVT
Residents of Mount Vernon Towers celebrated the holidays together at our annual holiday party. Fresh turkey, ham, and all the holiday fixings. As with many of our parties, people like the deserts the best! At Mount Vernon Towers, many of our residents live into their 90s and 100s. We like to think it is the savory sweet combination of our food, and most importantly, sharing around dining together on a daily basis that keeps our residents connected to each other. Dinner table conversations include stories about residents and their past and stories about the lives of our residents’ children and grandchildren. It is that connection created over dining room conversations that keep our seniors thriving. The Holiday Party at Mount Vernon Towers was an opportunity for all to catch up on Christmas letter stories, and reflect on time with families. As with any party at Mount Vernon Towers, lots of laughter and smiles!
The Dining and Activities departments of Mount Vernon Towers are proud to serve residents. Steve Hamilton leads the dining team and Barbara leads Activities. Together they shape much of the daily experiences of residents and we are proud to have them serving the community. Steve’s mission: Create First Class Senior Living in Sandy Springs. Barbara’s Mission: Create Environments Where Seniors Thrive. Mount Vernon Towers annual Holiday Party is the fruition of their work and, from all accounts, the residents loved it! Everyone is excited to start the New Year with dining room renovations! The holiday party was one of the last big events in the old dining room before renovations begin. Stay tuned for updates!
