This gated facility has twenty-four hour security with condos that can be purchased or leased. They come in three sizes, and major appliances are maintained by the competent Maintenance Staff.

Front Desk Staff helps protect the doors and gates, signs up residents for all the various trips and activities and answers our many questions about what goes on – all with a smile.

Dining Services provides all three of the new basic food groups – eat out, take out and delivered – all right here in the building. And the meals are tops with great variety.

Activities Staff provides more things to do than any one person can do – bridge, trivia, bingo, bunco, fitness, couples club. music and movies on in-house TV stations, discussion club, outside lectures, both in-house and outside musical groups, and special bus trips to name just a few. Oh! I almost forgot the great parties that seem to happen almost monthly.

Transportation by bus (free) within a five mile radius:

• Monday & Tuesday to medical and dental appointments
• Wednesday & Friday to grocery stores and dry cleaner
• Thursdays to banks, post office and drug stores
• Friday afternoons to various shops and department stores.

I don’t have a car and get along very well without one, but those who do have them are assigned spaces in the covered parking garage.

The grounds and all public areas are maintained and decorated beautifully.

The Wellness area is a great comfort for me if I need help in my condo. All I have to do is pull my emergency chord and they come running.

Now for perhaps the best part – the residents. We are a friendly bunch and we all have made some very good friends since residing here.

I just cannot think of anywhere I rather spend my “golden years” than righthere at the Mount Vernon Towers.
