During the hectic holiday season, the staff and residents at Mount Vernon Towers took time out to say “Thank You” to the forty firefighters who serve the Sandy Springs area year-round.

MVTfirefightersphotoFor three nights in a row in the week leading up to Christmas, Ginger Warren, the Director of Dining Services at Mount Vernon Towers prepared a feast for the firefighters.

“We just wanted to show our appreciation for these brave men and women who protect our senior residents and our independent living community in the heart of Sandy Springs,” said Ms. Warren, who planned three wonderful dinners, including the chef’s famous fried chicken on Tuesday, meatloaf on Wednesday and deluxe ham, mac & cheese on Thursday.

The Sandy Springs’ firefighters were touched by this warm hospitality. “They work so hard to keep us safe, and we want to honor and thank them for their dedication. We are grateful for their service, and this is one way for us to show it,” explained Ms. Warren.
