16 Sep To the Heroes in Our Midst: Thank You from Mount Vernon Towers!
For two weeks during September, the residents and staff of Mount Vernon Towers retirement community will show their appreciation to the Sandy Springs firefighters and first responders.
All are invited to come and enjoy dinner between now and September 20 whenever their schedule permits.
“We are honored to be able to say “thank you” for their protection of the community and in particular, for the support and service they provide to the homeowners at Mount Vernon Towers – every day, 24/7,” says Tommy Miller, Executive Director. “All of us want to show our appreciation for their dedication – having them join us for dinner is an extra thrill!”
On September 10, Battalion Commander Ronald Thomas joined 20 of his crew members for a special dinner in the main dining room hosted for them by Mount Vernon Towers, where he spoke about the heroes that he works with every day, and about their calling to be a firefighter or an EMT. Ralph Marion, Chairman of the Board of Mount Vernon Towers, welcomed the firefighters on behalf of all the residents, and spoke words of appreciation for their tireless work in the community.
