Mount Vernon Towers – A Great Place to Live, A Great Place to Work

Mount Vernon Towers – A Great Place to Live, A Great Place to Work

There are many reasons why Mount Vernon Towers stands out as the best choice for seniors who want to live independently in the greater Atlanta area – some that are clear, and some reasons that are equally important, but not so obvious.

Location and services
Many long-term, new and potential residents select Mount Vernon Towers for its great location in the heart of Sandy Springs, near major traffic arteries, close to superb hospitals, shopping, neighborhood churches and synagogues. Others determine that the services offered at Mount Vernon Towers, including its excellent dining facilities and healthy meal options, as well as its active event calendar, are the main reason to move here. Excellent reasons, for sure!

Employees who care
But what may not be so obvious, especially to people considering to move to Mount Vernon Towers, is that this community is also a great place to work. Of Mount Vernon’s total full-time staff of 33 people, there are 21 employees at Mount Vernon Towers who have worked here already more than 10 years, and there are many who have worked here much longer, like Cis Imbornone (23 years), Maureen Sieger (21 years), Tommy Miller (20 years), Susan Robertson (19 years), Eullasteen Stewart (17 years), Ira McClure (15 years), James Davis and Martin Nolasco (14 years).

“It is quite special for a community like ours to have such a loyal, devoted group of employees. This low turnover on our staff provides such a stability and comfort level to our residents, and I think it speaks volumes about the kind of place Mount Vernon Towers really is: a great place to live, and a great place to work,” says Tommy Miller, Executive Director.

“We are a real team here, and we support and appreciate each other,” says Cis Imbornone, who has been with MVT since 1990. “It’s a joy to go to work every day. We have a good time with our colleagues, and we also share lots of laughs with the residents. Everybody knows each other pretty well, and we look out for each other. I don’t want to sound sentimental, but we all consider ourselves part of the same family.”
