Steve Hamilton, Mount Vernon Towers’ Director of Dining Services, recently announced that some new items have been added to the lunch menu.

HOTS & HAMS, a variety of hot dogs and new burgers, include

• Georgia Bull Dog with Fried Pickles, Sweet BBQ sauce and topped with coleslaw, along with staples
• Chili Cheddar Dog
• Slaw Dog
• Thanksgiving Burger made from real turkey with a Cranberry Mayo & Swiss Cheese
• Moo, Cluck, Oink Burger – a burger with bacon & a fried egg on top

For the more than 300 residents at Mount Vernon Towers, the dining room is the heart of the independent senior living community in the heart of Sandy Springs. The dining room is a great place to meet friends, share stories and rekindle memories – and to enjoy a variety of tasty, well-prepared meals year-round.

Just Ask
Steve, who oversees the dining room and all related dining services at Mount Vernon Towers, explains the core of his management approach: “We adhere to the service belief that promotes the concept of providing people with many options if they “just ask”. We may not have everything available but we will do our best to accommodate the items.”

In addition to preparing and serving more than 5,000 meals per month, not counting employee meals, Steve and his team plan the menus for the many special events at Mount Vernon Towers and can cater major birthday parties or any other family gathering hosted by the residents, in all some 200 special events per year.
