Testimonial from Betty Daniels

“I know of no other community that rivals Mount Vernon Towers,” says Betty Daniels, who had a unique perspective of the facility before moving here in 2009: she had already been working here for sixteen years.

“It was a blessing to move in and already know everybody, especially since I left behind my old Atlanta neighborhood after living there for 42 years. It was the right decision: everything is provided at Mount Vernon Towers to help me live my best life. I don’t have to depend on other people for transportation to doctors or shops, and when I recently needed medical care, I could stay in-house in the assisted living units.”

Betty, who is active in her church and loves live theater and concerts, continues to work part time on the front-desk of Mount Vernon Towers and is ‘proud to be one of the staff members here.’

“There is so much going on all the time – we have fabulous parties, at least seven times per year, there are dinner or cultural outings every Thursday, and regularly, great speakers are invited to keep us on our toes.

“But most of all, I love the warm people here. You won’t find a better group of residents or staff members anywhere who really care. Even our bus driver is one of the most caring people I’ve ever met – always helpful, always considerate, whether he takes you to a doctor’s appointment or to the theater.”

“Now I think I should have moved here earlier, and I can tell you now that I would do it all over again. At a certain point in your life, time comes to face reality. I am really happy that Mount Vernon Towers is my reality.”
